It’s that time of year again. School is starting up and cooler weather is on its way. It’s when I really start thinking about supporting my family’s immune system. Not to mention “you know what” is rearing it’s ugly head again. Here are the 5 ways we stay health!
Foods
A whole foods diet is huge for helping us stay healthy. Fruits, veggies and whole grains is where it’s at. They supply the vitamins, minerals and prebiotics needed for a properly functioning immune system.
I know. You’re think eating healthy is expensive. But it doesn’t have to be. Whole grains can be bought in bulk helping with cost savings. Fruits and vegetables should be purchased in season. I buy a lot of mine at the farmer’s market, on Flash Foods app ( you can get a $5 produce box for free here) , and Misfits Market (get $10 of produce free here). Oh, and don’t forget to drink lots of water.
Exercise
Get outside and get moving. The fresh air and sunshine are great boosters for the immune system. Exercise helps reduce weight, lower blood pressure and stress levels, and helps with better sleep.
Vitamins
It can be hard to get all the Vitamins we need from our diet. Our soil is depleted and our busy schedules can mean we eat less than perfect. Vitamin supplements are a great way to fill the gap. These are the ones we use.
Suppliments
Two of the suppliments we use as needed are Immune Pro and Inner Defence. Just the thing for this time of year and the current situation. Ningxia Red is an antixodant powerhouse. Just an ounce or two a day is all you need. And it’s delicious.
Essential Oils
Why not?! They smell great and support our body. They also uplift our moods as the days grow short and colder.
Some of my favorites are…
Theives. It smells like Christmas day. Love it! I diffuse it or apply to the bottoms of my feet with a carrier oil.
Orange. It smells like a summer day. Also great for diffusing or you can add a drop to your glass of water. It makes getting your daily water so much easier and tastier.
All these things lead to a healthier lifestyle. Just added more servings of fruits and vegetables or diffusing oils is a great way to start.
